| International Powder/Bulk Conference & Exhibition This year's International Powder/Bulk Conference & Exhibition (IPB), held from 9-11 December in Shanghai, was the scene of a lot of optimism and high-quality discussions. Despite a background of difficult economic times worldwide, the trade fair closed after three days with good results. IPB is the largest and most specialised international trade fair in the whole field of powder, granule and bulk solids technology in China. The trade fair is organised jointly by the Chinese Society of Particuology (CSP), NürnbergMesse China Co., Ltd. and Worldwide Exhibitions Co., Ltd. with strong support from POWTECH of Nuremberg, Germany. The exhibition showed a wide range of technologies and applications for the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, coating, packaging, mining and ceramic industries. The solutions required to meet all the current challenges from raw material processing to nanotechnology are traditionally found at the IPB. Over 5, 200 trade visitors and congress participants used the IPB 2009 as the platform to meet leading manufacturers and find new applications for their manufacturing processes. The exhibitors came to Shanghai from twelve countries and regions: Mainland China, Germany, the USA, the Netherlands, Japan, the UK, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, France, Spain and Singapore. The visitors made their way to Shanghai from 19 countries and regions: Malaysia, South Korea, Iran, Singapore, Japan, Canada, the UK, Paraguay, Thailand, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, the USA, India, Germany, Indonesia, Australia, Sri Lanka and Russia. The professional supporting programme was of huge benefit to important trade visitors. The organisers were satisfied with the good results and a successful performance. The workshop "The Established Standards for Particle Analysis" was the centre of attention during the conference of the Chinese Society of Particuology. This event outlined the differences between the particle analysis standards of China and countries overseas. Further seminars and workshops were held on current topics such as "The Standard of Powder Measurement", "Bulk Material Conveyor, Filling and Silo Delivery" or "How to Prevent and Reduce the Risk of Dust Explosion". The next IPB takes place in Shanghai from 27-29 September 2010, at the Shanghai International Exhibition Centre. write your comments about the article :: © 2009 Exhibition News :: home page |
