| IPB 2009 – The Opportunity To Benefit From A Growing Market The International Powder/Bulk Conference & Exhibition (IPB) is the largest and most specialized international trade fair in the whole field of powder, granule and bulk solids technology in China. This year's IPB will be held from 9-11 December in Shanghai and will take place at the Shanghai INTEX site for the very first time. The trade fair is a great opportunity to benefit from the chances offered by a rapidly developing China to suppliers of mechanical processing technologies. Therefore, the organizers expect around 200 exhibitors and more than 6, 000 visitors. IPB is organized jointly by the Chinese Society of Particuology, NürnbergMesse China Co., Ltd. and Worldwide Exhibitions Co., Ltd. with strong support from POWTECH Nuremberg, Germany. "The IPB 2009 will be held in a year of additional challenges and huge opportunities. The worldwide economic crisis affects us all, but together we can work out solutions how to overcome the crisis and turn it into new business opportunities", explains Evian Gu, Project Manager of the IPB. "We have placed special emphasis on improvement of the quality of our show based on the results of the exhibitor and visitor questionnaire of last year." For the IPB 2009, there are plans to introduce a special theme area which will represent the most promising business area in this year. The professional supporting program represents huge benefits for important visitors from the trade. Parallel to the IPB, the workshop "The Established Standards for Particle Analysis" will be held, which has been organized by the Chinese Society of Particuology. The event will outline the difference between the standards of particle analysis between China and overseas. Futher seminars and workshops concern current topics such as "The Standard of Powder Measurement", "Bulk Material Conveyor, Filling and Silo Delivery", "How to Prevent and Reduce the Risk of Dust Explosion". Satisfied exhibitors and visitors in 2008 "Customers have already accepted NürnbergMesse China as new organizers of the IPB and are fully convinced by NürnbergMesse China because of the success of the IPB last December", so Evian Gu. The international exhibitors came from seven countries: Australia, Austria, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore and the USA, besides China. And the visitors also came from all over the world: Argentina, Australia, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Pakistan, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the USA, Hong Kong S.A.R. and Taiwan. First POWTECH Pavilion at the IPB 2009 For the first time, an offer was extended to the POWTECH exhibitors to attend the IPB under special conditions. The area of the German Pavilion encompasses 200 square meters and includes many well-known enterprises such as HOSOKAWA, NETZSCH-CONOUX, COPERION, GE Energy, Sympatec, UWT and Zepplin. Innovative solutions for process technologies The exhibition shows a wide range of technologies and applications for the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, coating, packaging, mining and ceramic industries. The answers required to meet all the current challenges from raw material processing to nanotechnology are traditionally found at the IPB. Experts can use this platform to meet leading manufacturers and find new applications for their manufacturing processes. New venue The IPB 2009 will be held at a new venue in Shanghai: the Shanghai International Exhibition Centre. It is a modern venue with first-class infrastructure and excellent traffic and communication links.
