| Eurobrico Meeting Point Optimising time and money are the main values that influence purchasing decisions made by this new profile of final customer. One of the key subjects set to be adressed within the programme of lectures that are scheduled to be delivered on Thursday 15th October at EUROBRICO MEETING POINT at Feria Valencia, is the figure of the ?Shopsumer'. EMP is a new conference style event specialising in the DIY sector. In his presentation, titled "The Shopsumer: more than just a person who buys products" Martin Von Steim, director of The Shopsumer Institute, will reflect upon what this new profile of customer is demanding as well as on the need to adjust the retail offering in the consumer goods sector to the requirements of this new market segment. Shopsumers are demanding that their budget in terms of time they dedicate to shopping as well as money is put too optimum use. These people are well-informed and, what is more, use the new technologies, especially the internet, to plan their overall shopping better. As well as the Shopsumer, the EUROBRICO MEETING POINT lectures will be addressing other issues of great interest to professionals in the DIY industry. The lectures and round-table discussions will be complemented by a business forum where manufacturers will have the opportunity to sit around a table with purchasing decision-makers from the sector's flagship brands such as AKI, ATB, Bricogroup, Bricoking, Bricor, Bricorama y Leroy Merlin. EUROBRICO MEETING POINT is an initiative that has been devised by DIY Trade Fair-EUROBRICO and the Association of Retailers of Ironmongery and DIY Products. The Shopsumer Institute is a consultancy for manufacturers and retailers in the Consumer Goods sector founded by Von Stein in 2007. Its aim is to apply marketing concepts to the point of sale, specialising in category management, trade marketing and merchandising. write your comments about the article :: © 2009 Exhibition News :: home page |
