| The 29th HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) 2009 and electronicAsia 2009 will be held in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre through 13-16 October 2009. The two world-renowned exhibitions will feature 5,100 booths, with exhibits in electronics products and components, and will attract the attendance of trade buyers from around the globe. HKTDC Assistant Executive Director Mr Raymond Yip emphasised the advantages. "Companies are encouraged to use the business platform of Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and electronicAsia to explore opportunities in markets such as Europe, America and Japan, as well as in the emerging markets. The Atrium Link Expansion of Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre has been completed just in time, providing additional space of 20, 000 square metres (about 1,000 booths) for exhibitors." The largest fair of its kind in Asia and the second largest in the world, Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) is organised by Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC). In 2009 it is expected to comprise over 4, 300 booths, with diverse electronics exhibits. Attendees will be alerted to new technologies and will be able to explore the business potential of innovative products. Group pavilions from the Chinese m ainland, Korea and Taiwan will be established, indicating that their electronics industries play crucial roles on the global scene. Last year, Mr Simon Wong, Marketing Director of Goodway Electrical Co., Ltd., Hong Kong, said: "We have launched a number of new products and they have been well received by buyers. In fact, we have already received repeat orders from our existing customers, despite the challenging economic climate." Hall of Fame (in Hall 1) is the premium zone which caters for exhibitors with well-known brand name goods and design-oriented products that set the trend. In 2009 Hall of Fame is home to many celebrated brands, such as Haier, Shinco, Hyundai, HPC, Goodway, Desay, Skyworth, Egoman, Oregon Scientific, Vtech, Daewoo International, Motevo, Princess, NXT, Nextbase, Pierre Cardin, TCL and Coby. As the electronics world continues to develop in exciting new directions, the fair grows to meet market demand for popular item ranges. New product zones within the 2009 Autumn Edition include: Computers & Peripherals, Digital Imaging, Electronic Gaming, and Healthcare Electronics. Two new highlights of the fair are the In-Vehicle Electronics & Navigation Systems Zone, which debuted to great acclaim in 2008 and caters to the fast-growing market for vehicle and navigational electronics, and the Technology Exchange Zone, in which Hong Kong's leading research institutes, universities and incubator companies display their latest ground-breaking products which have strong market potential. Last year, Argentina buyer, Mr Roberto Zlochisti, Managing Director of Cosmic Co., Ltd., said, "We have identified some suppliers of small-sized notebooks and will place orders after testing of samples. The fair is for the whole world and we find more business opportunities here than elsewhere. It is so good and gets better and better each year with more booths and exhibitors." Running concurrently with the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) is electronicAsia 2009, organised by HKTDC and MMI Asia Pte Ltd, with the theme 'Connecting Today's World Today'. With a 12-year track record of success, electronicAsia will once again provide a wealth of opportunity for both vendors and buyers of parts and components for the electronics industry. Approximately 750 booths will be set up, with major exhibits in General Semiconductors, PCBs, Logistics for Assemblies, and Displays. To enable visitors to see state-of-the-art electronics parts and technologies, varied zones will be launched. World of Display Technology keeps business current and ahead of the competition, developing awareness of new technology research and technical improvements to next-generation display technologies. Solar energy is regarded as one of the new high-tech industries propagating 'green electricity', and is thus welcomed by many governments around the world. Accommodating the trend of green energy, the new zone World of Solar - Photovoltaic Energy will exhibit core solar-energy technologies and products. With increasing consumer awareness of environmental protection around the globe, and the adverse impact of traditional energy sources (including oil, gas and coal), there exists a strong demand for renewable energy such as solar energy. Catering to this trend, HKTDC, together with the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association and Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks, will organise World of Photovoltaics Conference – Opportunities and Challenges of the Asian Photovoltaic Industry, a platform to discuss and analyse market opportunities and key technical success factors. In addition, a specialised conference will be held to introduce electronic & electrical appliances aiming to enter the markets of the Chinese mainland, America and Europe. For exhibitors, product demo and launch pad sessions will be programmed. write your comments about the article :: © 2009 Exhibition News :: home page |
