| Interbike Partnership with GSD Productions A recent partnership between Interbike and GSD Productions ensures event attendees will see the highest level of cyclo-cross racing available in New England during Outdoor Demo East, held October 8-11, 2009 at Roger Williams Park in Providence, Rhode Island. Held in tandem with the newly announced Outdoor Demo East consumer days (Interbike Festival), the Providence Cyclo-cross Festival presented by Interbike will provide bicycling industry members, enthusiasts and novices alike with the rare opportunity to see, in action, many of the stars of the country's fastest growing bike racing segment. "In order to appeal to as many members of the New England public as possible, we felt having a world-class race event would be a strong draw, " said Andy Tompkins, Interbike show director. "We felt that by partnering with an elite cross event like the Providence Cyclo-cross Festival, OutDoor Demo East would offer our exhibitors the best local retailers along with a significant consumer base to market to. Plus, we all need a little more cowbell in our lives." The Providence Cyclo-cross races are UCI ranked and part of GSD Productions' Verge New England Championship Cyclo-cross Series. "This partnership with Interbike is a perfect promotional alignment, " said Richard Fries, GSD Productions marketing communications director. "This is the best of the Interbike expo on display for the public with a UCI cyclo-cross race, a beer garden and great food on an October weekend in New England." Interbike's Outdoor Demo East is based on the Interbike OutDoor Demo held in conjunction with the Interbike International Bicycle Expo in Las Vegas and will include product testing, NBDA retail education seminars, manufacturer technical clinics and networking events. Now in its second year, Interbike is adding the Interbike Festival, two days of exhibits, demos and the Providence Cyclo-cross Festival, all of which are open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, October 10 & 11. This will be the first opportunity consumers have to see the freshest offerings of the bike industry. write your comments about the article :: © 2009 Exhibition News :: home page |
