| A Big Show, Despite It All  EICMA 2009 (Fiera Milano, 10 to 15 November) will be the only international expo of the year to be entirely devoted to motorcycles. It will extend over a net exhibition area of over 50, 000 m2 and it will showcase worldwide production. To realize this, just take a look at the names of the 20 exhibitors that are going to set up the biggest stands, which we list below in alphabetical order: Aprilia - Betamotor – BMW - CF Moto Europe – Ducati – Garelli - Harley Davidson – Husqvarna – Ixs Italia – Kawasaki – KTM – Kymco – Locatelli – Malaguti - Moto Guzzi – MV Agusta – Peugeot – Piaggio – Polaris – Polini - Sanyang - Sito – Suzuki - Triumph.2 major manufacturers, Honda and Yamaha, are still missing. But all the other players in the world market – makers of motorbikes, scooters, components, accessories – have confirmed their participation. Fiera Milano will host 420 direct exhibitors and another 500 brands will be represented. On a percentage basis, participation from foreign countries is stronger than ever: China is present with 3 collective stands and 14 additional Companies, Taiwan with 3 collective stands plus 26 Companies, Pakistan with a collective stand and 22 Companies, Spain with a collective and 10 Companies, the U.S. with one collective stand and 10 Companies. Accreditation requests are coming in from operators the world over who do not want to miss the only opportunity to participate in a great rendezvous of the international motorcycle industry in 2009. Thus EICMA and Fiera Milano confirm their leadership, even in a difficult year such as this, as borne out by the interest manifested by the authorities of China – the country that ranks first in the world in terms of two-wheel vehicle production and sales – who have chosen EICMA to be their partner in launching a new trade fair that is expected to become the greatest event in the field of P2W vehicles in the Asian continent. This year again EICMA will feature "Motolive": 80,000 m2 of outdoor space dedicated to tests, competitions, driving lessons, performances, music, shows: the great festival of powered 2-wheel vehicles.
