| Interxion Sponsors European Peering Forum Interxion, a leading European operator of carrier-neutral data centres, today announced its silver sponsorship of the fourth European Peering Forum, a two-day event where the European peering community meets new peers, extends existing peering arrangements and shares useful information and experience. The event, which attracts delegates from around the world, will take place at the SAS Scandinavia hotel in Copenhagen on 14th and 15th September. It will be hosted by four leading European Internet exchanges: AMS-IX, DE-CIX, LINX, and Netnod. Interxion, in their role as one of Europe's leading providers of Internet-facing colocation and connectivity services and a Patron of Euro IX, the European Internet Exchange Association, will be participating in the general discussion and debate and sponsoring some of the social activities. At present, 15 of Europe's leading Internet exchanges have a presence in Interxion's carrier-neutral data centres. Over 500 carriers and ISPs terminate their traffic with Interxion, creating a network-rich environment with excellent peering opportunities. "Partnership and consultation with the Internet exchange community is one of our key priorities, as we share the mutual goal of strengthening and enhancing the fabric of the Internet, " said Anthony Foy, Interxion Group Managing Director. "At Interxion, exchange members can build out secure, serviced network and content-delivery infrastructure as needed, and Interxion customers can gain significant improvements in quality and cost-effectiveness by peering directly across an exchange." write your comments about the article :: © 2009 Exhibition News :: home page |
