| FIBA Study Centre To Be Present At The Fsb 2009 In Cologne ![]() Most of the 18 FIBA Study Centre partners that will be exhibiting stands featuring their sports equipment at the FSB 2009 have been present at the fair since FIBA's first participation in 1995. During the three days of the fair, the FIBA Study Centre will be organising, in cooperation with the German Basketball Federation (DBB), several basketball games featuring German clubs of different levels, including mini-basketball and wheelchair basketball. In addition, the IAKS (International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities) and FIBA, with the sponsorship of Champion, Molten, Mondo and Senoh, are currently organising a joint Architectural Students Competition for the second time (the first occasion was in 2002). 30 to 35 students from Dresden Technical University and Kassel University will be represented and will prepare projects on the ‘Basketball Arena in the year 2020'. There will be four prizes given out at the beginning of IAKS Congress on 28th October and a smaller award ceremony will be taking place on the basketball court of FIBA's village in the afternoon of that same day. The FSB, held bi-annually and featuring over 500 exhibitors, is the leading international trade fair for the sport and leisure sector and will generate new business and networking opportunities for all the FIBA partners that will be present in Cologne. The FSB always provides a great opportunity to discover the unique world of basketball. At FSB 2009 that takes place from 28th to 30th October in Cologne the FIBA and its FIBA Study Centre partners present interested visitors all facets of basketball sports.
