| China International Hardware Show Koelnmesse, one of the world's leading trade fair organizers, and the China National Hardware Association (CNHA) jointly announced that the majority of CIHS 2009 exhibition space has already been sold out – seven months before the event commences. Being the world's second biggest hardware and DIY trade fair as well as Asia's largest, China International Hardware Show – Powered by PRACTICAL WORLD (CIHS) is where the best of Asia's suppliers and products converge. Boasting a total gross exhibition space of over 100,000 sqm and attracting about 2,000 exhibitors and 30,000 trade visitors from all over the world, CIHS is undoubtedly Asia's most influential trade fair of its kind. Besides providing unrivaled business opportunities for participants to engage in one of the largest markets in the world - China, the event is also a major marketplace for overseas buyers to source for hardware products in the world's biggest production base. 90% of China's manufacturers participate regularly at this event. Now in its 9th year running, CIHS 2009 will present Tools, DIY & Building Hardware, as well as Security, Locks and Fittings to a worldwide audience. Jointly organized by Koelnmesse and CNHA, the much-awaited event is slated to open its doors once again from 16 to 18 September at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Center in Shanghai, China. More international pavilions – CIHS welcomes Spain for the first time As of February this year, nearly 75% of CIHS 2009 exhibition space has already been sold out. The growth in international presence for the trade fair is displayed by the first-time support of the Spanish Hand Tools Manufacturers Association (HERRAMEX) and the Association of Spanish Manufacturers of Bricolaje & Hardware (AFEB). They are joined by other international pavilions including the German Pavilion fronted by the Association of German Tool Manufacturers (FWI), the Italian Pavilion organized by Koelnmesse Italy office, as well as 3 group pavilions by the Taiwan Hand Tools Manufacturers' Association (THMA), the Importers and Exporters Association of Taipei (IEAT), and the Taichung Importers and Exporters Chamber of Commerce (TIECC) respectively. Together with their member exhibitors, the participants are expected to showcase a comprehensive range of hardware products at the event. New!
