China's Market for Processing and Packaging Industries China's processing market is currently experiencing fundamental changes. Instead of offering individual machines, the industry has turned to supplying complete production lines and plants. In the context of the improvement of production efficiency, the demand for high-class equipment is increasing permanently. According to the China Food Industry Association, the total demand for food processing machinery in China will reach a volume of USD 15.5 billion in 2010, with an import rate of 6.4%. China's packaging industry is the largest worldwide and is expected to realise an output value of USD 105 billion per year by 2012. The food sector accounts for 50% of this market, according to Edge Market Research. China's 11th Five-year Plan is a strong force behind food packaging. According to the plan, a 15% growth rate will be maintained until 2010. Further promising markets for the packaging industries are beverages and pharmaceuticals. write your comments about the article :: © 2009 Exhibition News :: home page |
