| Autosalon Brno 2009 – June Will Again Be The Month Of Cars Exhibitions of motor vehicles have a long tradition in our country and all lovers of cars are eagerly awaiting the June term of this year's AUTOSALON BRNO. After two years the gates of the exhibition centre will open again to welcome the fans of new and beautiful cars. This year's character of AUTOSALON BRNO will be slightly different than in the previous years. Besides the main importance as the support of the image of exhibited brands the exhibition now aims to contribute to revive the market of cars in the Czech Republic. The representatives of exhibiting brands have prepared numerous special action offers for the visitors to the exhibition – potential buyers of new cars. Volkswagen will offer a complete range of vehicles The Volkswagen car manufacturer is preparing a complete range of the VW model lines available on the Czech market. Because the nomenclature of the exhibition was extended also by light utility vehicles up to 3.5 tons we can look forward to a special show of all sorts of VW utility vehicles. The new Polo One of the greatest news presented by VW in Brno will be the new model line of Polo. The market will see the fifth generation of this popular model, which was developed upon the experience with the new Golf that was officially introduced shortly before the new generation of Polo. The new version of Polo was initially designed and constructed in order to easily reach to the five stars in the recently innovated EuroNCAP safety crash tests. This is also why the new Polo is, as a standard, equipped with electronic stabilisation programme ESP, which is accompanied by uphill take-off assistant and a highly efficient set of safety retaining systems including side airbags for head and chest or pre-stressing system for the safety belts with the indicators of their loosening. During the construction the designers managed to reduce the weight by 7.5 % compared to the previous generation. All this together with the new generation of TDI and TSI engines or the seven-gear double-clutch DSG gearbox results in a significant reduction of fuel consumption as well as lower emissions, which applies to the full range of equipment and engine types. Passat with earth gas engines The new TSI EcoFuel Passat Variant models will be also presented in Brno – as the very first cars in the world combine ground gas and direct injection boosted engines. Besides the valued economy and low level of emissions the EcoFuel models bring a technically unique TSI engines with double-stage boosting that enable for a true enjoyment of the dynamic ride. Thanks to the bivalent operation using CNG and petrol the trouble-free mobility is ensured with maximum distance of up to 940 km with extremely low operation costs. Volkswagen Passat TSI EcoFuel provides the highest performance of 110 kW (150 k) at 5,500 rotations per minute while the maximum torque is 220 N.m and the driver can enjoy a broad range of rotations from 1, 500 to 4, 500 1/min. Customers will surely appreciate the temperament of the Passat TSI EcoFuel, as well as the low consumption. The versions with the innovative DSG double-clutch can do with mere 4.4 kilograms of ground gas for 100 km. The TSI EcoFuel engine primarily burns the gas and switches to petrol automatically after the CNG tanks are empty. Sharp and sovereign Over 1.7 million customers have already opted for the Volkswagen Golf GTI in the whole world. Currently the sixth generation of the model is available. Golf GTI with maximum speed of 240 km/h is equipped with a turbo-fan-boosted engine with performance of 155 kW/210 hP, which consumes only 7.5 l/100 km in the combined EU regime. The exhibition stand of the Volkswagen brand will also offer the models of Golf Plus, Passat R36 Variant, Scirocco, Tiguan, Passat CC, Touareg R50, CrossTouran, Jetta BlueMotion, Eos, Phaeton. Utility vehicles will include the model lines of Caddy, Caddy 4Motion, Caddy Maxi, or the Multivan. Chevrolet Cruze – new offer in the lower middle class segment One of the latest news on our market is je Chevrolet Cruze – automobile, which will try to stir the offer of the lower middle class vehicles. Electronic stabilisation system ESC, anti-blocking brake system ABS, front, side, and head airbags, remote-controlled central locks, electric operation of mirrors and windscreens, CD MP3 player and tuner, height-adjustable steering wheel and both front seats – this is just a brief example of the rich standard equipment of the brand new model Chevrolet Cruze. For the new sedan there is also a new offer of engines featuring two full-aluminium spark-ignition four-cylinder engine (1.6 and 1.8 l) and two-litre turbo diesel with sixteen-valve technology. Opel estate in elegant sporty outlook For its new model line Insignia Opel has won the title of the European Car of the Year, and started to offer it already in the estate version the design of which leaves no space for doubts – this is a sports car. To make sure everyone is aware of this the name says it clearly - Insignia Sports Tourer. The estate version of Insignia did not evolve as a simple extension of the sedan. Designers rendered this part of the car with a great confidence. The doors extend to the sides of the car and are highlighted with large fully integrated tail lamps. The dynamically styled tail contains load space of 540 litres. With its length of 4.91 m Insignia Sports Tourer is 8 cm longer than the limousine, and the wheel base is identical 2.74 m. Two new engines – boosted spark-ignition engine with smaller volume and the new turbo-diesel extends the already broad range of seven aggregates available for the model lines of Insignia sedan and hatchback.
