| The Madrid Logistics & Transport Exhibition The Madrid Logistics & Transport Exhibition, LOGITRANS, will stage its second edition between 21st and 23rd April 2010. Following the success of the first edition, which took place last November, the fair's organisers, IFEMA and Planner Reed, have decided to move the fair to a series of dates that cater for the needs and demands of the industry's professionals. This decision will have a direct impact on the commercial interests of the participating exhibitors, as well as on their marketing strategies, whilst also ensuring the presence of various new features that provide added value at the fair. The satisfactory results achieved at the first edition of LOGITRANS confirm Madrid's importance as a forum for logistics and as a point of reference for the entire industry in Southern Europe. The first edition brought together some 180 participants representing all of the links in the inter-modal chain, including companies and bodies connected to the development of infrastructures, industrial property and logistics, logistics operators and transport companies, warehousing and storage companies, and companies offering information technologies for the logistics industry. The fair also achieved its goals in terms of international participation, with some 21% of its exhibitors attending from abroad, specifically from ten different countries. For their part, more than 8, 000 professionals attended the event in Hall 10 at the Feria de Madrid fairground in order to attend the exhibition presented at LOGITRANS. The considerable degree of interest aroused by the exhibition in both the public and private sectors was confirmed by the visits undertaken by Esperanza Aguirre, the Head of the Madrid Regional Government, and Francisco Camps, the Head of the Valencian Regional Government, reflecting the support offered by both administrations from the very beginning. The Exhibition completed its trade activities with a series of Specialised Conferences, which were also strongly attended, given that they tackled a series of issues of maximum interest to the industry. Among others, we might mention the following events: the Madrid Logistics Conference sponsored by Madrid Emprende and IMADE (The Madrid Development Institute); the International Logistics Forum; the Presentation of the Inmologístico Dossier 2008; the Presentation of the Logistics Barometer, as well as other key monographic sessions. These conferences and roundtables were accompanied by other coinciding activities that were also warmly received, especially the ICIL Automated Warehouse, CEL's Technological Integration Showroom, the IFTEM Training Area, and the Heavy Goods Vehicle Driving Simulator set up by CETM and CEFTRAL. write your comments about the article :: © 2009 Exhibition News :: home page |
