| World of Asphalt and AGG1 With about one week before the shows open, advance registration and exhibit numbers continue their positive trending for the 2009 World of Asphalt and AGG1 shows. The shows will be held March 9-12, 2009 in Orlando, Florida (Orange County Convention Center). World of Asphalt already has a record number of exhibitors. Virtually all of the major exhibitors from the last show are participating. And, the 2009 event has attracted additional industry attention, with almost 30 percent of exhibitors making a first-time appearance. New exhibit pavilions (pavement maintenance and traffic management/ work zone safety) join the returning information/technology and materials testing/measurement pavilions.) The inaugural AGG1 exposition has also garnered a great response, surpassing show management's goals for number of exhibitors and exhibit space totals. Together, the shows will offer attendees access to a wide variety of the latest products and technologies from more than 380 exhibitors using more than 84, 000 net square feet of exhibit space. "We are pleased with this vote of confidence not only in the value of AEM trade shows but in the value of exhibitions overall as a powerful tool to communicate with customers, " noted Show Director Sara Truesdale Mooney. Surveys have shown trade shows to be a very affordable option to connect buyers and sellers. For example, some 91 percent of attendees say the "one-stop shopping" aspect influences their buying decision. Also, the cost for a company to close a sale in the field is more than 2 ½ times the cost to clinch the sale to a qualified trade show prospect. AEM works with industry partners to co-locate events, which saves time and money for all participants and offers additional networking opportunities. And, the resulting increased attendance benefits all events. Attendees at the 2009 World of Asphalt will find an enhanced show experience with the new co-locations of the inaugural AGG1 exhibition (and AGG1 Academy education) and national traffic management and work zone safety conference hosted by the American Road and Transportation Builders Association Transportation Development Foundation (ARTBA-TDF). write your comments about the article :: © 2009 Exhibition News :: home page |
