| Asia Pacific Sourcing: Canada, Gateway to North America Half-day event on 2nd March 2009 gives an overview on how to enter the North American hardware and DIY market. Asian products ordered in Cologne and marketed in North America: helping to jump-start global business is what Asia Pacific Sourcing in Cologne, from 1st to 3rd March 2009, has set as one of its goals. To help achieve this goal, a workshop called "Canada, Gateway to North America" will take place on Monday, 2nd March 2009 in the Congress Centre East. Here, the Canadian trade journal "Hardlines" and the German-Canadian Chamber of Industry and Commerce will provide information on Canada as a gateway for the North American hardware and DIY market. First-hand information: leading experts - such as journalists from the trade journal "Hardlines" - will start the half-day event by giving an overview of the North American market and its key players. This will be followed by a presentation by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). After a coffee break, Massimiliano Zampella, European Sourcing Manager, Home Depot, will provide information on the company Home Depot International. The workshop will end with an explanation of the general regulations regarding purchasing and delivery conditions in North America, and concrete tips on how to take the next steps in making contacts with foreign sales channels. The workshop will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the Congress Centre East, Room 1 and 2. Participation in this English-language event costs 99, 00 Euros (for journalists the event is free of charge).
