| Margaret Beckett to address Ecobuild Minister for Housing and Planning, Margaret Beckett, will address visitors to Ecobuild on Wednesday 04 March. Speaking in the Ecobuild Arena, Beckett will provide insights into 'The future of green building in Britain' in a session hosted by award winning writer and political journalist Matthew Parris. Beckett joins a host of other politicians and well-known commentators speaking at Ecobuild, including Boris Johnson on 'Building a cooler London', Alastair Campbell on 'Making BIG change happen' and Lord Nigel Lawson on 'Harnessing the economics of climate change.' They will join Germaine Greer, Clare Short, John Beddington, Michael Heseltine, Yvette Cooper, Michael Portillo and many more, providing a challenging and entertaining series of events in the Ecobuild Arena. Keynotes and debates will cover topics central to a sustainable built environment, including behaviour and lifestyle, architecture and design, science and the environment, and politics and economics. Also taking place is the renowned Ecobuild conference, entirely free for visitors to attend, and presented by the most influential and highly-regarded figures from across architecture, construction and the built environment. The inaugural UK Green Building Council conference will also take place at Ecobuild, alongside a comprehensive seminar programme, over a dozen attractions, and the biggest showcase in the world for sustainable construction products featuring over 800 exhibitors.
