The biggest lighting fair in Asia!

In response to fast paced industry changes, Electrical Building Technology Guangzhou is expanding exhibitor product categories for its next show scheduled for 9 – 12 June 2009. Electrical Building Technology Guangzhou, a trade fair for professionals in the building technology and automation sector will be held at the China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex, Guangzhou, China, formerly known as Guangzhou International Convention & Exhibition Centre.

In response to the booming electrical engineering industry sector, the new exhibitor product categories are Electrical Energy-Efficiency Modification Equipment, Lightning Protection Systems and Control Equipment and Dimmer Switches.

This year's 2008 fair, held alongside its partner event, Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition assisted thousands of buyers to source building related products. The fairs attracted 97 exhibitors and 48, 105 visitors from 96 countries (including Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition). This was a 7% increase compared with 2007.

Fair visitors included planners and engineers, building contractors, developers, building authorities, import and export agents, industry end-users, wholesalers / distributors, architects and designers and energy suppliers.

Mr Jason Cao, General Manager, Messe Frankfurt Shanghai Co. Ltd., said there were many benefits to be gained from exhibiting at Electrical Building Technology Guangzhou.

"We have a clear integrated positioning with specialisation in the electrical technologies and building automation sectors, " he commented. "Our fair is the place to do business and for those wanting to view the latest products and companies wanting to demonstrate their newly launched products and technology to a professional audience."

China's construction industry is seeking electrical systems and energy efficient solutions

In line with its development plan for 2006–2010, Guangzhou has an extensive infrastructure programme underway. It includes the renovation of Baiyun Airport, construction of terminals at Guangzhou and Shantou and construction projects for the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. In addition, there is a massive building boom in Shanghai to prepare for World Expo 2010 Shanghai, China. In addition, according to the China National Tourism Administration, by 2015, 200,000 new hotels, hostels and guesthouses will be built in China. These projects and new buildings are generating a huge demand for electrical system materials, energy efficient solutions and a variety of intelligent building systems.
