"Recent world events demonstrate graphically the need for continued vigilance in the face of the terrorist menace and emphasis once again that a combined counter terrorism effort is the strategy with greatest prospect of success in the battle to rid the world of the outrages we have witnessed in recent times, " comments Peter Jones, Event Director, Counter Terror Expo 2009. "This event brings together 50 of the world's top experts in the field to discuss the significant terrorist threat continuing to face the global community, measures required to address these threats and to share their collaborative best practice experience in working toward this goal."

Comprising keynote plenary sessions, strategic briefings, case studies and panel discussions, conference and associated workshops will cover many of the overall headline issues including countering radicalisation, intelligence gathering and sharing strategies, consequence management and command and control with a focus directed toward critical infrastructure protection and business continuity.

"Mumbai was the most recent of large scale terrorist attacks and illustrated that the threat trajectory is once again evolving. We fully expect that delegates attending this event will leave armed with the knowledge and tools necessary to take the battle against such terrorist outrages forward, " concludes Peter Jones.
