| Agrarian Triad at HUNGEXPO Budapest Fair Center Agro+Mashexpo, Viniculture and Winery, and Hungarian Garden seem to be no longer affected by the economic crisis as the size of the exhibition area and the rate of international participants are breaking new records in HUNGEXPO's prestigious agricultural events. 260 exhibitors from 13 countries occupy a total of 22,600 m2 of exhibition space inside the new Budapest Fair Center at the show of the agricultural triad. Innovation, energy saving, environmental protection, and establishing the conditions of marketability are in the focal point of the exhibitions. The agricultural triad offers more innovations, Hungarian products, and professional programmes to visitors, farmers, wine-growers, horticulturists, and landscape artists than ever before. Besides, there will be detailed information provided on the numerous available loan facilities, EU funds, and lease opportunities to all interested parties. Exhibitions will be open from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. except on the last day when gates will shut at 4.00 p.m. Tickets will also be available in exchange for Holiday vouchers as is customary with all HUNGEXPO exhibitions. Visitors from the country are eligible to a 50% discount on Volánbusz fares. Budapest - the "meeting place" for agriculture This is the second year when agriculture, horticulture, and viticulture come together at HUNGEXPO's agricultural show with strong international competition. Products range from the latest developments in agricultural heavy machinery through the smallest of gardening tools to the various vine-growing equipment and devices. The "giants" and "midgets" of agricultural machinery, i.e. the large and small machines are on display at the AGRO+MASHEXPO in pavilions A and F, and in the recently opened pavilion G. The most comprehensive range of gardening tools are displayed by the Hungarian Garden, while all tools and utensils for grape processing and mellowing wine are on show by Viniculture and Winery in Pavilion D.The wide international recognition of the exhibitions is shown by the fact that the number of first-time international exhibitors is now higher than ever before. This year the product range of Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Poland, Lithuania, Germany, Italy, Spain, Slovakia, and Ukraine add that extra colour to our domestic produce. Today in Hungary, approximately 2000 manufacturers offer more than 133 thousand different types of machinery, claims the Sc. Dep. General Director of the Hungarian Institute of Agricultural Engineering, József Hajdú, in his analytical study. The number of distributors is also well over one thousand. The present fleet of machinery can support production better and more effectively than ten years ago. In ten years, agriculture purchased and commissioned new technology in the value of HUF 770 billion, which resulted in quality replacements and the improvement of machine capacities and thus in better implementation of production technologies. In the modernisation of the Hungarian tractor fleet, quality replacement may play the key role, added József Hajdú. In recent years the mechanisation of horticulture has also been given a fresh momentum. In the latest EAFRD grant offer more than 3000 applications were received for subsidised machine acquisition, points out the study.* Overview of the profession and the available loan facilities The three exhibitions offer a wide range of current information on the most crucial issues concerning agriculture. Visitors and guests can attend professional conferences, practical exhibitions, and business meetings. After a few years of absence, the Forum Stage presents acclaimed agronomists, horticulturists, bank specialists to provide reliable and first-hand information on issues concerning the profession and loan opportunities. Conferences As part of AGRO+MASHEXPO, the machines and technology of modern soil preparation is the main subject matter on the professional programme agenda of the Hungarian Institute of Agricultural Engineering of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The Forum Stage will address subject matters such as soil preparation, the latest research findings in artificial fertilisers and their use, the latest development in energy-saving technologies, agricultural energy production, the latest technologies in irrigation, the latest vine-trimming techniques, the mechanisation trends in forestry, and the new sowing-seeds. Farmers planning to invest in machinery can learn about the opportunities in agricultural machine financing, the various credit facilities, the range of EU agricultural support on offer this year, as well as the role of insurance, and the expected changes in arable land prices. Innovation reaps laurels The renewal and development of the world of agriculture is reflected and demonstrated best by the high number of applications submitted to the AGRO+MASHEXPO award. A total of fifteen manufacturers and distributors of agricultural machinery, tools, or auxiliary materials - many of which are domestically engineered - have entered the competition this year. The main criterion of eligibility was the innovative content of the products. It is interesting to note that among the award winning entries is the most attractive tractor of Europe. The Prize for Innovation went to Massey Ferguson 8690 LRT heavy universal tractor, which represents exceptional innovative qualities both in national and international comparison, to CLAAS XERION 3800 TRAC - a transporter "system tractor" and to the Gramix NPK area-specific artificial fertiliser. The winner in the category, the Massey Ferguson 8690 LRT, made a hit with the journalists, who voted it the "Tractor of the Year 2009", and granted it the "Golden Tractor Design Award". write your comments about the article :: © 2009 Exhibition News :: home page |
