| Christmasworld 2009 – All Exhibition Halls Virtually Fully Booked Up Christmasworld – The World of Event Decoration – from 30 January to 3 February 2009 presents the entire spectrum of decorations for the numerous festivals and festivities of the year, from Christmas decorations, via Easter baskets, to floral tributes and garlands. In good time for the start of the new business year, the international decoration sector will get together at the world's trade fair in Frankfurt am Main. 965 exhibitors from 38 countries will present a spectrum of products unparalleled in terms of both depth and breadth. Jutta Baumann, Christmasworld Director, takes an optimistic view of the coming fair: "Our five exhibition halls are virtually fully booked up and the market and brand leaders have registered." In the field of Christmas decorations, for example, the exhibitors include Festive Products, Gilde Handwerk, Gisela Graham, Inge's Christmas Decor, Krebs Glas Lauscha and Krebs & Sohn. In 2009, the exhibitors will present their ranges in an optimised se-quence of five important days. Thus, Christmasworld will open its doors from Friday, 30 January, to Tuesday, 3 February 2009, which means that the Sunday, which is traditionally dominated by the Ger-man trade, comes exactly in the middle of the event and will, there-fore, be even more attractive for national dealers. As in the past, in-ternational visitors still have the opportunity to use Christmasworld as an order platform on two consecutive days during the week. Two other trade fairs open their doors a day later and will run parallel to Christmasworld from 31 January to 3 February 2009: Paperworld, the leading international trade fair for paper, office supplies and sta-tionery, and Beautyworld the leading international trade fair for the perfumery, drug store and cosmetics trade. From next year, another important sector – the hairdressing sector – will also be represented when the Hair and Beauty hairdressing fair is held on 1 and 2 Febru-ary. With these four events, Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre will be completely occupied, which will generate a host of interesting syn-ergies. Christmasworld visitors are also entitled to attend and place orders at the other events being held alongside Christmasworld. The most important trends of the new festive season in terms of col-ours, designs and materials can be seen at the Christmasworld Trend Show in Hall 9.2 D 91. The designers of bora.herke are staging four trends – 'Airy', 'Sweet', 'Comfort' and 'Obsession' – in four themed worlds using products of the Christmasworld exhibitors. Thus, visitors can find inspiration from the way the trends are decorated, and ideas for compiling their own assortments. The designers of bora.herke will give guided tours of the Trend Show, which begin from the Lecture Forum in Hall 9.2 D 91 immediately next to the Trend Show, daily dur-ing the fair at 11.00 and 13.30 hrs. Christmasworld presents a different nation and some of its typical festivities every year in a special exhibition called 'The spirit of celebra-tion'. The aim is to give trade visitors an insight into the wide variety of regional festivals and customs to be found throughout the world. In 2009, the focus will be on the USA with Halloween and St. Valentine's Day, and the Galleria between Halls 8 and 9 will be decorated to re-flect both occasions. Additionally, there will be an interesting pro-gramme of events at the fair, e.g., a decoration presentation entitled 'Magic Tables' organised in cooperation with Bloom's magazine. For both festivals, the magazine's experts will create three individual table decorations, which will be on show in the Galleria. A series of lectures on 'How did the Ox and Donkey become part of the Nativity Scene?' will spotlight a traditional subject and illuminate the background and significance of Christmas symbols and decora-tions. Under the chairmanship of Dr. Herbert Poensgen of the Catho-lic Pastoral Care Service at the Exhibition Centre, the lectures will be held daily at 14.00 hours in Hall 9.1, Room 303. Interest in the party and festive articles segment has grown continuously over recent years. At Christmasworld 2008, around 3, 000 exhibitors said they were particularly interested in this segment. Over 83 percent of them were very pleased with the range of products to be seen. For this reason, there will be a special Party and Event area in Hall 9.0 in 2009. The focus of this area will be on exhibitors with a broad spectrum of products for seasonal highlights, such as weddings, New Year, birthdays, parties and anniversaries, and the range of products offered by the exhibitors will stretch from party dishes, via balloons, garlands and lampions, to fireworks and elegant table deco-rations. The exhibitors presenting their products in the party and fes-tive article segment of Christmasworld 2009 will include renowned companies such as Amscan, Goodmark, International Home Range and Papstar. Impressive lighting sets for everything from buildings to Christmas trees will be exhibited by, for example, Blachère Illumination, Konstsmide, Krinner and MK Illumination in Hall 9.0. Additionally, buyers will also find a wide range of candles with different colours, shapes and fragrances. The festive and party decoration segment is also in Hall 9.0. Christmas, annual and seasonal decorations are located in Halls 9.1 and 9.2. There, Christmas baubles twinkle in all the colours of the rainbow; angels and Santa Clauses jostle for elbow room together with the latest trend products. High-quality small series are to be found in Hall 9.2. For example, suppliers of Erzgebirgische Volkskunst will be showing traditional products, such as nutcrackers, candle arches and Christmas pyramids. Besides accessories for Ad-vent, buyers will also find devotional articles, such as pictures of the Virgin Mary, rosaries and crucifixes, in this exhibition hall. write your comments about the article :: © 2009 Exhibition News :: home page |
