| Positive Exhibitor Registration At Prowein 2009 All relevant wine-growing regions worldwide will participate in ProWein 2009, International Trade Fair for Wines and Spirits, from March 29 - 31 in Düsseldorf, Germany. ProWein 2009 will make it possible to �travel� from California to Bordeaux and from the Mosel to Mendoza with one visit of the trade fair. As of December 2008, Germany is the leading exhibitor nations with over 700 exhibitors, followed by Italy and France with more than 450 exhibitors each as well as Spain and Austria with over 250 exhibitors each. About 200 suppliers from the "New World" will be at ProWein 2009, including from countries such as Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, New Zealand, South Africa, the U.S. and Uruguay. For the first time, exhibitors from these nations will be grouped together in Hall 6 in order to give visitors a comprehensive overview of the growing regions outside of Europe. The contingent from the Eastern European regions will also be strong: approximately 100 exhibitors will be present from Bulgaria, Georgia, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldavia, Montenegro, Rumania, Serbia, Slovenia and Russia. New countries participating in ProWein 2009 will include Algeria and Belarus. In the spirits segment at ProWein 2009, about 300 international exhibitors will showcase a cutting-edge assortment of exotic spirits and specialties from fine distilleries from all over the word. Altogether, more than 3,000 exhibitors from about 40 countries and over 30,000 trade visitors from around the globe are expected to take part in ProWein 2009.
