ACORE Announces New Renewable Energy Trade Show in Las Vegas

The American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE) and partnering organizations announced the Renewable Energy Technology Conference and Exhibition (RETECH 2009), which will be held in Las Vegas, NV on February 25-27, 2009. RETECH 2009 is expected to be the largest all-renewables gathering in the U.S. in 2009, with an attendance of over 5,000 people. The event is planned to increase in scale in coming years to 10,000 attendees and 500 exhibitors, which will make it the largest event of its kind worldwide.

Packed with a full-scale Trade Show with press conferences and product launches, an exciting six-track Business Conference, and RETECH Side Events. RETECH 2009 will offer educational and networking opportunities to a wide range of participants.

Over 250 companies and organizations and twenty-five international governments will host booths and pavilions on the Trade Show floor. Exhibitors will include equipment manufacturers and suppliers, systems providers, finance and investment firms, research & development companies, project developers and operators, law firms, green builders, architects, construction and rigging companies, NGOs, trade associations, and government agencies.

Exhibitors are excited by the opportunities that RETECH will provide. "SkyFuel is honored and excited to be among the founders of RETECH. We were so impressed by the job that Mike Eckhart's ACORE team did with WIREC and benefited so much from the boost that show gave our business that we did not hesitate to sign up right away for RETECH, " said Christopher Huntington, Vice President, Business Development, SkyFuel, Inc.

Chris Swan, CEO, RSMR Global Resources, Inc. said: "I have been attending environmental and energy shows for more than twelve years, so I am rarely impressed with turnout and enthusiasm. However, WIREC was clearly one of the top trade shows that I have attended in years. What a motivated group of people! We look forward to exhibiting at RETECH next year."

"WIREC allowed us to demonstrate how energy from waste is a significant source of renewable energy to an important audience of government officials and industry executives. The attendance and enthusiasm at the Trade Show at WIREC was great and so was the interest our business received. It was a valuable event for Covanta and we anticipate RETECH will be just as successful, " said Derek A. Porter, Vice President, External Affairs, Convanta Energy Corp.

Business Conference: The Business Conference will provide a platform for over 120 industry-leading speakers to share their knowledge and insights with attendees. The Business Conference will consist of six parallel tracks, held over two days, on each of the key technologies (wind, solar, hydro/ocean, geothermal, and biomass/ biofuels/ waste energy), plus cross-cutting sessions on markets, finance and policy. Discussions on clean technologies will incorporate presentations on hydrogen, fuel cells, batteries and other energy storage technologies, transmission, smart grid, distributed generation, energy efficiency, green buildings, and other topics related to renewable energy.

The RETECH Side Events (RSEs) will enhance participants' capacities and knowledge across RETECH's thematic areas. RSEs will be produced by a variety of sponsors, NGOs, and governments. They will offer a unique chance for the world community to discuss the opportunities and challenges of a rapid global scale-up of renewable energy and to address the goals for energy security, climate change, and sustainable development.
