| Step Into Yorkshire South - You’re Virtually There Yorkshire South, current holder of Confex's 'UK Best Destination' title, will return to Earls Court in London from 24th to 26th February for International Confex 2009. And this year the partnership will be breaking ground in exhibition technology with exclusive 4D tours of Yorkshire South venues on offer on its stand. Yorkshire South have joined forces with Doncaster-based knowledge transfer company Kognitiv, to create virtual 4D venue show-rounds for buyers. Using a state of the art technology in mini theatre on stand and special 4D glasses, Yorkshire South will be enabling visitors to tour venues without ever leaving their seats. Instead of just browsing brochures, buyers will be immersed in a first hand, interactive, sensory-rich experience which is sure to make a lasting impression. This new technology has never been used before by a destination and is set to revolutionise the business tourism industry. Speaking about the exhibition, Emma France, Yorkshire South Conference Manager, commented: "This is Yorkshire South's third year at International Confex and possibly the most exciting year yet. Last year's exhibition stand was certainly creative, but this year we are taking technological advances to a whole new level by bringing a new and unique experience to visitors as well as the business tourism industry. The 4D technology enabling virtual tours of the region's conference venues could be the future in terms of familiarisation visits and we are thrilled at Yorkshire South to be the first destination partnership to be able to offer this service." 'Team YS' will this year include representatives from Magna, Sheffield International Venues, East Midlands Trains, Conference 21 at Sheffield Hallam University, YES Project and Kenwood Hall.
