| The Event Show 2009 Plans for The Event Show at Olympia on 21st and 22nd January 2009 are well underway with the exhibition already boasting a 10% increase in new exhibitors. Repeat bookings are also up 15% and the Innovation Theatre will once again showcase a variety of new products and services that will be seen for the first time at the two day exhibition. Michelle Tayton, manager of The Event Show said: "With the global credit crisis affecting many businesses, event organisers know that it is crucial to retain existing clients now more than ever by delivering maximum return on investment and keeping one step ahead of competitors. By taking one day out of the office, The Event Show delivers practical, creative and inspirational ideas that will make the best use of budgets and help to attract new customers." The Event Show attracts the major decision makers and over half the visitors to the exhibition are directly responsible for purchasing decisions. 49% attendees organise corporate events, 37% arrange conferences and 31% organise festivals. The remainder are associated with charitable and public sector events as well as concerts, product launches and sports, air and horticultural shows. So, it is a genuine mix of indoor and outdoor event organisers including public relations and marketing professionals. The Event Show has also seen a significant increase in visitors working in the field of experiential marketing, as this is the only exhibition that provides them with the opportunity to get 'up close and personal' to some of the world's leading festival and public event organisers via The Access Sessions. As part of these presentations, the experts offer advice and first hand experience of how brands can influence customer decisions to patronise public events. Meanwhile, exhibitors continue to choose The Event Show as a promotional platform for their business, knowing that it has established a reputation for attracting the country's most prestigious event organisers from companies such as L'Oreal, Saatchi & Saatchi X, T-Mobile, Cancer Research UK, Live Nation, Associated Conference and Events Ltd (ACE) and many of the country's councils. Ben Irvin, director of Irvin Amusements explains: "Whilst there is often volume of visitors at some exhibitions, this is without doubt the best exhibition for quality of leads and all the people here are nice to work with." Themes Inc has exhibited at The Event Show now for ten consecutive years and said of last year's exhibition: "Brilliant! A very, very good show, it is definitely quality and quantity. The first day was excellent and the second day didn't dip, " said marketing manager Shaun Westerman, who booked at the end of last year's exhibition to secure his space for 2009. Following on from the huge success last year when The Event Show became the first event led exhibition to introduce celebrity names such as Alexander O'Neal, The Drifters and Rowetta to perform exclusively for event organisers on the LIVEstage, next year there will be a new line-up of star performers to inspire organisers for high end corporate events, conferences and incentive travel. write your comments about the article :: © 2009 Exhibition News :: home page |
