| German minister and EU vice-president cut ribbon to open Bau Bau, Europe´s most important trade fair for architecture, materials and systems, will be officially opened on 12 January 2009. Cutting the ribbon to open this key event will be Günter Verheugen, Vice-President of the European Commission and Wolfgang Tiefensee, Germany´s Minister of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs. The opening ceremony will begin at 8:45 on 12 January in the West Entrance of the New Munich Trade Fair Centre. At this official opening of BAU 2009, the distinguished guests Verheugen and Tiefensee will be accompanied by other notables from politics and industry.
