Beautyworld 2009 In Frankfurt

To reduce the amount of particulate matter in the air, the City of Frankfurt introduced an Environmental Zone on 1 October 2008. Visitors and exhibitors should take account of this when planning their trip to the Beautyworld in Frankfurt am Main from 31 January to 3 February 2009. Vehicles from Germany and abroad with a high pollutant emissions level comprising the categories 2 to 4 may only enter the Low Emission Zone if equipped with the appropriate sticker. However, Messe Frankfurt will make it possible for visitors and exhibitors to drive into the Exhibition Centre without an environmental sticker via Gates West and North.

The Low Emissions Zone is the area bounded by the motorway ring around Frankfurt: the A5 motorway to the west, the A3 to the south and the A661 to the north and east. Anyone driving a car or truck into the restricted area without a sticker must expect to pay a fine of 40 and, in the case of German drivers, have one penalty point entered in the Central Register of Traffic Offenders (Verkehrszentralregister) in Flensburg.

Exhibitor personnel with exhibitor passes and visitors with online admission tickets can travel free of charge to the fair using local public-transport services operated by the RMV public-transport authority in Frankfurt and the region. All visitors can register via the internet and purchase their admission tickets at the lower advance-booking rate until 12 noon on the last day of the fair.

In other words, they can obtain their tickets at a lower rate, travel to and from the fair within the RMV area without having to pay a penny and avoid having to queue at the ticket office. These benefits are also available to voucher-ticket holders who exchange their vouchers for a personalised admission ticket at the Online Ticket Shop and print it out before leaving for the fair. Visitors who do not take advantage of this offer will have to exchange their vouchers on arrival at the Exhibition Centre.

Further information about online tickets can be found on the internet at The internet site also contains details about the Low Emissions Zone and stickers (Visit to the fair / Travel Center), as well as details of how to get to the Exhibition Centre without a sticker.
