Ex•tracts® Is Sold Out For Winter 2009

All available exhibit space within EX•TRACTS is sold out for the winter 2009 edition of the New York International Gift Fair (NYIGF ), Sunday, January 25, through Thursday, January 29, 2009, at New York City's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Since the show's integration into NYIGF in February 2008, it has continued to evolve by coalescing innovative and emerging personal care resources alongside thousands of complementary product lines.

The ongoing refinement of EX•TRACTS includes the return of past exhibitors to market, relocation of existing personal care suppliers into EX•TRACTS from other NYIGF divisions and expansion of existing participants. This winter, AHAVA North America (skin care, body care and bath products), Bella Il Fiore (cosmetics, bath & body), Booty Parlor (cosmetics, massage oils, personal care) and Principessa Beauty Inc. (bath & body and fragrance) will return to EX•TRACTS following an absence from the market; and returning exhibitor Royal Palm Botanicals (scented gifts, bath & body and spa therapy products) will expand its exhibit space.

NYIGF exhibitors shifting into EX•TRACTS from other divisions include: Allegro Mfg. Inc. representing Tillia (boutique bath & body) and Tiny Tillia (children's boutique bath & body), Caswell-Massey LLC (apothecary - all natural soaps, perfumes, cologne, shaving products, hand lotions), Chesapeake Bay Candle (scented candles and diffusers), Daniel Benedict Design (bath and beauty), Illume (scented candles and personal care), Nomi (diffusers, home fragrance), Rain Created for Living (spa, personal care and soaps), TerraNova Bath and Body (fragrance and body care) and Twist & Pout (lip balms).

In total, nearly 100 companies will exhibit in EX•TRACTS. Participants offer a wide range of cosmetics, perfumes, skincare, bath & body care, beauty accessories, hair care, natural/organic products, apothecary gifts and well-being lines.

"EX•TRACTS attracts an active niche retail market, with buyers from spas, salons and specialty retail in attendance, " said Melissa Engongoro, sales manager. EX•TRACTS participants can enjoy a full slate of educational seminars and after-hours special events presented during NYIGF. On Sunday, January 25, Gift For Life's Stakes Are High Casino will benefit DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS, and on Tuesday, January 27, NYIGF's popular "A Night on Broadway" will offer specially-priced tickets to hit musical Billy Elliot. Educational seminars, addressing color and design trends, sustainability and retail issues and opportunities, will be presented during market.
