Clearpace wins Innovators Showcase at The 451 Group Conference

Archive store specialists Clearpace have won the Innovators Showcase at The 451 Group Annual Client Conference held in Boston, USA on 11th and 12th November 2008. The Innovators Showcase highlights some of the most innovative and exciting new technologies emerging from early stage companies. Following a presentation to the conference Clearpace NParchive was voted the most innovative technology by attendees, who included representatives from global companies, leading venture capital firms, investment banks and peers in the technology industry.

A key theme at the conference was the importance of technology that enables organisations to reduce costs, simplify operations and drive efficiencies in the current economic climate. The benefits of Clearpace NParchive are very much aligned with these principles, and the technology's ability to reduce the cost and complexity of long term data retention clearly resonated with attendees.

"The 451 Group has always had a focus on identifying new and innovative companies that bring disruptive technologies and business models to address the issues of the day." Said Simon Carruthers, Vice President, Research Services of The 451 Group, "Companies are struggling today with the simple fact that they must keep large and growing volumes of data longer, and readily available, with shrinking or static IT budgets. The relevance of the Clearpace approach in these circumstances with its extreme compression, simple data management and access capabilities is clear."

Many of the topics discussed at the conference including peta-scale archives, increasing regulation, eco efficient IT and cloud based storage all reinforced the strength and relevance of the Clearpace NParchive proposition.

"We were delighted to be invited to present at the Innovators Showcase in the first instance, " said John Bantleman, CEO of Clearpace, "and to be selected as the most innovative company by over 300 industry leaders, our technology peers and investors is a genuine honour. The 451 Group are in our opinion one of the most respected analyst firms in the industry, and their reputation for both independence and astute judgement makes this recognition even more humbling."
