| Ahci Independent Watchmakers To Join Twf Independent watchmakers of the illustrious AHCI announced their decision to participate in Japan's watch trade show, stirring up great excitement among the watch industry in Japan and Asia. Japan's first and only watch trade show named the 1st Tokyo International Watch Fair, or TWF, will welcome watch brands from all over the world, and will now include the most prestigious watchmakers in their exhibitor lineup who will showcase their extraordinary world-class timepieces. TWF will be held from January 21 to 24, 2009 at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan. AHCI, an acronym for Academie Horlogere des Createurs Independants, or the Horology Academy of Independent Watchmakers, consists of 32 of the world's greatest and most passionate watchmakers with solid knowhow of classical watchmaking, dedicated to creating exceptional timepieces. Distinguished watchmakers of AHCI to exhibit at TWF are: Mr. Vianney Halter (Switzerland). After conceptualizing and creating timepieces for famous brands including Breguet and Audemars Piguet, Vianney Halter began creating his own line of inspirational timepieces which combine exceptional watchmaking and technical innovations. Each timepiece created by this watchmaker is extremely unique and special, and from 1998 to 2008, less than 500 watches bearing Vianney Halter's signature has been produced. Mr. Thomas Prescher (Switzerland) This AHCI member became a watchmaker extraordinaire and a specialist tourbillon maker after many years of intensive study and several apprenticeships, and is committed to creating complicated timepieces with exceptional designs. He received tremendously positive reactions for his world's premiere double axis tourbillon pocketwatch and triple axis tourbillon wristwatch, which he released in 2003 and 2004 respectively. His single axis wristwatch tourbillons are also extremely rare, as they are flying tourbillons. Mr. Aniceto Jimenez Pita (Spain) Awarded in different invention fairs, this self-taught watchmaker and AHCI member has been passionate about watches since his early childhood. Aniceto handmakes all his timepieces since idea inception to final personalization. Every Pita creation has its own personal appeal and is crafted with a unique purpose, ranging from the Carousel where the whole movement rotates in its own axis to tell time, to the 5000m water resistant Oceana diver's watch with 2 patented systems. Mr. Aaron Becsei (Hungary) Aaron Becsei grew up surrounded by watches as a third generation of a watchmaking dynasty, and became candidate of AHCI in 2007. His timepieces show respect to traditional watchmaking and are built with the most precise methodology. His latest watch is the Bexei wristwatch PRIMUS, the first tourbillon wrist watch with an extremely complicated and unique movement, with tri-axial tourbillon with jewel bearings. His watches make owners feel they are wearing a piece of art on their wrists. TWF offers visitors to see these masterpieces and to meet the master-watchmakers on-site as they will personally be at TWF during all 4 show period days. In addition, many other watch companies will be participating from this show's first edition including those from Switzerland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, United States, Russia, and more. Definitely not to be missed. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Exhibition News :: home page |
