The Stationery And Office Supplies Event In China

The largest stationery and office supplies event in China is scheduled to open its doors on 27 November 2008 for 3 days at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Nearly 650 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions will showcase thousands of innovative stationery and office supplies products including Austria, China, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Portugal, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan Region, Thailand, UAE, the UK and the USA.

Visitors attending this year's event can expect to see classic items such as writing instruments, pencil sharpeners, writing pads, folders, wrapping paper, and other stationery articles on 45,000 square meters of space, covering four exhibitions halls. Many office product items such as staplers, bulletin boards, binding machines and shredding machines will also be showcased this year. Artists' materials, hobby products and gift items have been added to this year's trade fair.

In addition to providing a platform that displays a vast range of products, this year's event will offer an array of informative events. Speakers from a wide range of backgrounds will lead relevant seminars with the most up-to-date information from the stationery and office supplies industry.

Among the highlights of the 2008 fair are:

Value Creation Symposiums – Focusing on the China market, retailers and regional wholesalers will share their insight and experience into the core values of the distribution channel of office products in China.

Paperworld China International Seminars - Additionally, there will be a variety of seminars lead by international industry experts offered on-site.

The topics will focus on How to sell to the dealer community and independent resellers? As presented by Mr. Mark Austen, Chairman of Business Products Group International (BPGI). How to enter the European OP markets? As presented by Mr. Thorsten Koehler, Managing Director for Carstensen. Designing with paper materials for new markets as presented by Ms. Philine Bracht, Visiting Associate Professor at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Greater China OPI Awards Ceremony – The winners of the region's foremost business awards programme will take place on 26 November 2008 at the InterContinental Hotel Pudong, China. The ceremony will recognise top performing companies who excelled in areas of sales, marketing, products performance, innovation and customer satisfaction.

VIP Buyer Club – More than 80 buyers from China's top stationery and office supplies retailers will be taking part in this exclusive club. Organised in co-operation with Officento, the buyers will be on-site to meet with retailers and manufacturers as well as choose and award the fair's most "Recommended products for the China market".

Domestic Trade Zone – Wholesalers and retailers will promote their brands in this area, including 500 retailers from the Yangtze River Delta region. Leading companies like HP, Pilot and UPM will showcase in this zone.
