| All in Print China 2008 to Grandly Kick Off in Shanghai The 3rd All in Print China will be grandly staged in Shanghai New International Expo Center during November 14-17, 2008. Officially supported by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, General Administration of Press and Publication of the People's Republic of China and China Printing Group Corporation, this event is co-organized by the Printing Technology Association of China, China Academy of Printing Technology, Messe Düsseldorf China Ltd., regional undertaken by Shanghai Printing Trade Association. "Power of Print" is the theme of the 3rd All in Print China 2008. It is well expected that near 700 printing machinery and related products manufacturers from more than 20 countries and regions will show their latest prepress, printing and post-press products & technologies as well as packaging equipments and devices in Shanghai. The exhibition area is of 69, 000 square meters; and up to 60,000 trade visitors are expected to be attracted. All in Print 2008 is the world's most influential trade fair in the printing industry, as the extension of drupa. However, during October 29 and November 1, 2003, with the support of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, General Administration of Press and Publication of the People's Republic of China, Shanghai Municipal Committee (SMC), Shanghai Municipal Foreign Economy and Trade Commission (SMFETC), Shanghai Municipal Press and Publication Bureau (SMPPB) and other relevant government departments, the 1st All in Print China made its debut successfully. Over 40,000 square meters exhibition area had attracted near 500 exhibitors domestic and overseas to showcase their traiblzing equipments in the printing industry. And All in Print China is acclaimed as a great event. The 2nd All in Print coincides with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit. Despite all the twists and turns, with the support of Shanghai local government and related departments, All in Print was held as schedule. In addition, a total of 671 exhibitors in printing and related products industry, from 26 countries and regions, showcased the power of Chinese printing. The 4-day show had attracted near 50,000 trade visitors from 76 countries and regions. 2008, the 30th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up, is an extraordinary year for China. The successful Beijing Olympics brought about new opportunities, strength and development for the country. The launching of Shenzhou-7 spaceship showcased the hi-tech power of China. However, it also experienced excessive impact from the south snow storm, Wenchuan earthquake, macroeconomic restructuring and the global financial turmoil. Therefore, China printing also faces severe test. Even in such a year filled with opportunities and demand for adjustment, the 3rd All in Print China has received substantial support from the related government administrations of Shanghai as well as the country, and broad participation of nearly 700 domestic and overseas printing manufacturers together with vast positive response from the traders domestic and overseas. The approaching 3rd All in Print China 2008, to be staged on Nov. 14-17, 2008, will exhibit the latest technologies, products and processes during these years, have seminars on the newest products and processes in printing, and provide more professional services for exhibitors and visitors, so as to promote the printing industry. Recently, numerous overseas visitor groups from Germany, America, Japan, Korea, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Hongkong, as well as many associations of printing in all provinces in China, have confirmed their participation. It is expected to attract more than 3, 000 decision-makers in printing and 60, 000 trade visitors by then. The All in Print China, renowned for "hi-tech", "professional" and "new", is characterized by its combination of conference and exhibition. Many large-scale conferences and manufacturer exchange activities will be staged concurrently at the event. The seminars of the latest technologies, products and processes for printing have advanced this industry and also further energized the exhibition. The Global Printing Summit Forum 2008 is about to be held by the Printing Technology Association of China and China Academy of Printing Technology at the Purple Mountain Hotel in Shanghai on Nov. 13, 2008. With a theme of "new drive, mode and value", this forum will discuss four subjects, namely the new times--opportunities and challenges for global printing development, new technology tendency--new technological contributions and new business growth, new opportunities--exploration of the operation mode of printing and industrial upgrading, and new strength--integration and double win between domestic and overseas printing businesses. Hosted by the General Administration of Press and Publication of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China and undertaken by China Employment Training Technical Instruction Center, the Printing Technology Association of China and the China Association of Newspaper, the Award Ceremony of The First Edition of National Printing Occupational Skill competition (Famous Brand Cup Selective Trial) will be grandly staged in the "China's Classic Printing Zone" in Hall E1 on Nov. 15, 2008. The First Edition of National Printing Occupational Skill competition consists of preliminary contest, semi-final (selective trial for the final contest) and national final. Offset printing skill is going to be competed and the contestants will be divided into the professional team and student team. The professional team will face the challenges of single sheet folio four-color, roll paper & newspaper rotation, and books & magazines rotation respectively.
