| Automechanika Argentina  The 5th South American Commercial and International Automotive Trade Fair from Design to Maintenance and Recycling will be held at La Rural Trade Center in Buenos Aires between November 12 and 15. Automechanika Argentina 2008 will be the largest industrial exhibition in the country. It will host 550 exhibitors, 150 of which will come from abroad. These figures show a record attendance of both local and foreign exhibitors. Companies will come from Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, Peru, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States and Uruguay. 42,500 professionals and businesspeople from this industry are also expected.Ever since its first edition in Argentina, eight years ago, it grew by 130% in exhibitor and 147% in visitor attendance, considering the estimates for 2008. Not only will the fair use the whole of the fair grounds, but a modular structure will be attached so as to expand the surface area allocated to exhibition. In all, it will cover a 40, 000 sq mt area. The exhibition will include four groups of products: parts and components; interior and exterior systems and modules; accessories and overhauling and car service and repair items. Visitors will be able to contact top companies from the local and international automotive industry. The 2nd International Business Round of Car-Part Buyers will be held simultaneously to the exhibition. It will be organized by Indexport Messe Frankfurt, together with Fundación Export.Ar. This activity will gather Argentinean companies associated to the car-part, accessory and component industry and foreign companies associated to the importing and distribution activities, as well as possible partners. International buyers will come from Botswana, Colombia, Egypt, South Africa, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates and United States, among a number. Academic activities will be held in parallel, where exhibitors may introduce new products and discuss the challenges of this industry in the world context.
