The WiMAX Forum and Informa Telecoms & Media today announced the keynote speakers for WiMAX Forum Congress Latin America Conference and Exhibition in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on December 3 - 4, 2008. As part of WiMAX Forum's series of global tradeshows, this event is the largest WiMAX focused tradeshow for the Latin American region and will bring together thought leaders from across the industry to focus on the WiMAX adoption and deployment. Keynote speakers for WiMAX Forum Congress Latin America include:

Ronaldo Sardenberg, President, ANATEL (Brazil); Teresa Kellett, Director Global Development, Sprint (USA); Alex Ternero, CTO, Movilmax/Omnivision (Venezuela); Henry Fuentes Lain, Network Director, Radiografica Coastarricense S.A. RACSA (Costa Rica); John Xiong, Marketing & Solutions Director, Huawei (Brazil); Gonzalo Dona, Strategic Technology Director, VTR (Chile); Carlos Marino, President, Avantel (Columbia); Dr. Frank Perthel, Head of Business Development Broadband Wireless, Nokia Siemens Networks (Brazil); Francisco Varela, Head of Mobile Operator Relationships, YouTube (USA); Ron Resnick, President, WiMAX Forum (USA).

Currently, the show has confirmed more than 70 speakers which include plenary speakers for its two-day multi-track conference. WiMAX Forum Congress Latin America targets 2,000 senior level business and technical attendees from across Central, South and North America.

The conference is designed to address a variety of commercial and technical issues, focusing on spectrum and regulation, business models and equipment certification. WiMAX Forum Congress Latin America allows participants to witness first hand the true capabilities of WiMAX, experience educational programs such as "The WiMAX Ecosystem at Work" and engage in the "Connectivity Q & A."
