| Ipb 2008: Get-together For Process Technicians, Process Engineers... The 6th International Powder/Bulk Conference & Exhibition (IPB) takes place in the Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center in Shanghai from 9-11 December. The 2008 exhibition and conference on powder and bulk solids technology in the Asian region will be organized for the first time by NürnbergMesse China Co., Ltd., the Chinese subsidiary of NürnbergMesse GmbH, together with the Chinese industry association. "The event offers NürnbergMesse the chance to distinctly strengthen the competitive position of a core theme in China. We also expect a clear improvement in the internationality of POWTECH, the worldwide biggest exhibition for powder and bulk solids technologies organized in Nürnberg, " says Claus Rättich, Member of the Management Board of NürnbergMesse. In terms of its exhibition theme, exhibitor and visitor target groups and accompanying conference, IPB is the Asian variant of the Europe-orientated POWTECH in Nürnberg. With the Chinese Society of Particuology (CSP), NürnbergMesse China has the most important and most widely recognized association in the country as partner for the IPB. "International companies use the IPB mainly to prepare or push their market entry in China, " explains Axel Bartkus, Managing Director of NürnbergMesse China. "Our aim is to improve and develop the event concept, with the support of the previous IPB organizer Worldwide Exhibition Services (WES) as additional strategic Chinese partner. An agreement has been reached with the CSP concerning cooperation on conferences accompanying exhibitions in addition to the IPB, " continues Bartkus. The new face of IPB 2008 Based on experience, the IPB organizers expect some 240 exhibitors and about 5,000 visitors at the 2008 event. It is planned to gradually increase the degree of internationalization among both exhibitors and visitors. The new face of IPB 2008 is marked by targeted approaches to visitors, highlights like the top conference programme and a new Internet presence at www.ipbexpo.com.
