An agreement that is good for tourism. This is what TTG Incontri, the main b2b trade show in Italy, scheduled to be held this year in Rimini from the 24th through the 26th of October, has just formalised with MSC Crociere, its number one business partner. This partnership, which is the only one of its kind, will consist of the two brands being supported with advertising communications materials in a co-branding initiative, but most of all it will involve 2,000 travel agents from Central and Southern Italy who will strengthen the already consistent number of agents that represent more than 70% of current visitors to the trade show, definitively consecrating it as the main point of reference in Italy country for the distribution of tourism related products.
There is a great deal of satisfaction at TTG: "The agreement with MSC Crociere for TTG Italia is strategic – comments Paolo Audino, CEO of TTG Italia – for two reasons: the first is because the choice made by a company such as MSC Crociere to invest in communications and visibility through our show reinforces the idea that TTG Incontri is now the most important b2b show in Italy, the only one that companies decide to invest in when business needs to get done.
The second is that, for the first time in Italy, a tourism show, TTG Incontri, has decided to create a partnership wit a private entrepreneur. This choice on the one hand will ensure growth and independence for the show, and on the other will offer our partner a unique opportunity for contact with industry players."
The objective of the agreement is to involve the entire distribution network during the three days of trade show negotiations: "the agreement with TTG Incontri – declares Domenico Pellegrino, General Manager of MSC Crociere – is the natural evolution of a distribution choice made at the beginning of an exceptional industrial plan that we have been involved with since 2003. As global players in the cruise sector, we have chosen the professional involvement of travel agencies as our sole distribution channel."
"It is the first time – comments Guido Groppi, General Manager of TTG Italia – that a transaction of this magnitude has been undertaken with a TTG Incontri exhibitor and this important agreement is only possible with a partner of the calibre of MSC Crociere because we are in complete agreement regarding the actions that must be taken and the objectives that we will pursue together."
"Once again – echoes Leonardo Massa, Sales Director for MSC Crociere- MSC Crociere has revealed travel agents to be its sole choice for representation. The partnership with TTG Incontri at the 45th edition is an obvious sign of MSC Crociere's distribution choices. We have a single objective: to consolidate and continue our relationship with the entire network of Italian agencies."
"I am certain – concludes Audino – that the understanding with MSC Crociere will exceed expectations and will once again create a record for initiatives and business models that reflect the leadership of these two companies."
TTG Incontri is organised by TTG Italia, a company belonging to Gruppo Rimini Fiera.
