| Barcelona, Capital of Applied Chemistry From the 20th to 24th October 2008, Fira de Barcelona's Gran Via exhibition centre will house the largest applied chemistry event in southern Europe. Since 1987, the simultaneous staging of Expoquimia, Eurosurfas and Equiplast has showcased the entire commercial, technical and scientific range of exhibits from the Mediterranean chemical sector. The simultaneous staging of Expoquimia, Eurosurfas and Equiplast every three years in the same venue provides the applied chemistry industry with a must-see event, which has become a benchmark for professionals and researchers from all areas related to the sector. The three shows cover 130,000 square metres of floor space in pavilions 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 in the Gran Via Exhibition Centre and attract some 50,000 trade visitors. 1,100 direct exhibitors will be participating in representation of over 3,700 companies from all over the world. Expoquimia, Eurosurfas and Equiplast currently make up one of the sector's largest showcases, on a national and international level, since they encompass a wide variety of products, provide new solutions and present the latest technological applications. They also host a full programme of conferences, congresses and seminars which turn the Catalan capital into a centre of scientific debate. Fira de Barcelona has been organising the three shows simultaneously since 1987 and were originally held in the Montjuïc Exhibition Centre. In 2005, Expoquimia, Eurosurfas and Equiplast were moved to the new Gran Via Exhibition Centre in order to improve services to exhibitors and visitors. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Exhibition News :: home page |
