Favourable Prospects For The Tenth Edition Of Construtec

With still more than a year to go before the staging of the event itself, the prospects for the tenth edition of the Building Exhibition, Construtec 2008, are highly favourable. The fair will take place between 7th and 11th October 2008 at Feria de Madrid. This trade event, which is organised by IFEMA, is of special interest to all professionals working within the world of architecture and construction. Construtec 2008 will build on the excellent results achieved at its year 2006 edition, which achieved record figures in terms of participation and consolidated the favourable progress that this fair has made in recent years: 638 direct exhibitors (well above the figure of 415 exhibitors recorded in 2002); an exhibition area measuring 36,434 net square metres (compared to the 16, 286 net square metres of two editions before), and 37,073 trade visitors (a figure that is also higher than the 25,960 visitors recorded in 2002).

The growth of Construtec has led the organisers to add an additional hall to the five halls it has been using to date, which means that the fair will take place in Halls 1, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 9. This represents a gross exhibition area of 85,800 square metres, which will consolidate and boost the event´s expansion.

Architects, surveyors, decorators, builders and other professionals from the industry find that Construtec offers them an ideal opportunity to discover the latest new features in computer technology and domotics applied to the building trade, construction machinery and public works, as well as the latest ideas in locks, fireplaces, elevation systems, transport, etc.

Furthermore, Construtec will be completed with the rest of the specialised exhibitions that have gradually been incorporated within the framework of the event. The most important of these is known as DECOTEC, the Interior Design Exhibition, which is due to stage its eighth edition and will encompass all aspects relating to the interior design and architecture of buildings: light surfacing, carpeting, all kinds of coverings, ceramic, cork and wooden surfaces, wall surfacing, etc.

Feria de Madrid will also present the latest in pre-fabricated products for residential and industrial buildings and for public works projects, as well as ornamental products, armoured steel for reinforced concrete, additives, sand and cement, etc., through the Monographic Prefabricated Concrete Exhibition

With regard to the Monographic Exhibition on Wood in Architecture, the latest event to be incorporated within the fair (at the year 2006 edition), this exhibition will present a wide-ranging overview of the entire segment, presenting an extensive range of products for structures and coverings, as well as pre-fabricated products and products for industrial buildings, urban furniture, etc.

In short, both Construtec and the monographic exhibitions that take place under its auspices will provide an excellent business forum, bringing together the best products and services and the most highly qualified sectors of demand within the field.
