Char-Broil Returns to National Hardware Show After Six-Year Absence

Char-Broil, LLC, North America's leading producer of gas grills, will return to exhibit on the show floor of the 2009 National Hardware Show May 5-7, 2009 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas after a six-year absence. Char-Broil will occupy an inside presence on the show floor within the Lawn & Garden World of the National Hardware Show. And, in a unique approach, Charbroil will also anchor the new "STAY-CATION MARKETING CENTER". This new, outside feature area will showcase hands-on testing and education covering "what's new" in grills, outdoor furnishings, accessories, storage, and coverings that retailers can market to consumers who choose to spend their vacation at home.

"We are excited to return to the National Hardware Show for the first time since 2002, " said Rob Schwing, Senior Director, Brand Marketing at Char-Broil. "Our exhibit on the Show floor and anchor of the new STAY-CATION Center offer an excellent platform to showcase our new line of infrared products. In addition, we will host our annual sales meeting at the National Hardware Show which will offer our retail partners an opportunity to meet with our entire team to plan their upcoming activities, " Schwing added.

"The National Hardware Show is honored that Char-Broil has chosen to return to our industry's largest and most important event, " commented Ed Several, Group Vice President for the National Hardware Show. "We are making major changes to inspire manufacturers and retailers with new ideas, education and most importantly, new products to jump-start sales in a challenging marketplace. The new STAY-CATION MARKETING CENTER is the first of many new areas that we have planned that are specifically designed with our customers' needs at the forefront. As such, we are pleased that Char-Broil will anchor this new area, " added Several.

Plans for the 64th annual National Hardware Show May 5-7, 2009, Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas are well underway and will include many new programs and services designed to empower manufacturers and retailers with the ideas, new products and merchandising solutions to generate sales and increase profitability in a difficult and competitive environment. These initiatives are specifically designed to achieve new growth for the home improvement marketplace.
