See More at Fenestration China 2008

The Chinese window, door and curtain wall industry has appreciably expanded over the past years. Fenestration China, the International Exhibition on Windows, Doors and Components, which takes place this year in the International Exhibition Center in Peking from 18-21 November, has developed in a correspondingly positive way: Almost 350 exhibitors from 15 countries – including many from Germany – present their products. Two days before Fenestration China, experts meet at the conference accompanying the exhibition. The topic in 2008: Energy efficiency and protection of buildings against natural disasters. Fenestration China is organized jointly by Nürnberg Global Fairs and CIEC Exhibition Company Ltd.

The number of exhibitors in the International Exhibition Center in Peking has risen by slightly less than 50 per cent compared with the previous year. No wonder, as the Chinese industry is booming and this is also noticed by the window, door and curtain wall industry. Although the Chinese exhibitors at Fenestration China have a home advantage and provide the majority of stands, exhibitors from all over the world are pushing their way onto the Chinese market.

For example, the German and American pavilions are increasing their space this year and many Chinese companies also represent technologies and systems from international market leaders. Compared with the previous year, the net display area at Fenestration China has grown from 11,000 to 13,000 square metres, which is about a fifth larger.

The products on display range from glass products, hardware, doors, fixing equipment, and machines, installations and tools for working glass, wood or plastic to valuable information on services, associations, and research and development in the window and facade construction industry. Technological innovations like energy-saving building measures or modern insulation techniques are one of the focuses of this year's display.

The supporting programme at the exhibition is accordingly also devoted to energy efficiency. The participants at the "Fenestration Days China" conference before the exhibition deal with "Energy efficiency and protection of buildings against natural disasters" from 16-17 November. The conference participants also learn more about shading systems, fire prevention devices and modern window architecture.

Another port of call is the Fenestration Procurement Match-Making service at the opening of Fenestration China 2008 on 18 November. An ideal platform for meeting component suppliers in the Chinese window, door and curtain wall industry to find out more about new business solutions and the whole product spectrum.

Fenestration China is organized jointly by Nürnberg Global Fairs and CIEC Exhibition Company, Ltd. Since 2007, Fenestration China has alternated annually between Shanghai and Peking to ensure its presence throughout the whole of China.
