In-Cosmetics Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary With 2010 Paris Show

The in-cosmetics Group has officially announced that in-cosmetics will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in Paris, Porte de Versailles, from 13-15 April 2010. The inaugural in-cosmetics, held in 1990 in Birmingham (UK) attracted 900 visitors and just over 60 exhibitors and welcomed a very different industry than that of today. Throughout the 1990s, the C&T industry has grown dramatically and is now worth some US$290bn, according to Euromonitor. Increasing competition has resulted in companies seeking growth through acquisitions and investing substantially in new technologies, ingredients and formulations.

Around the world, borders have blurred and products have become more sophisticated in both formulations and presentation. Ingredients themselves are at the heart of many of these changes. Suppliers have taken more responsibility for product research and development, working very much in partnership with their manufacturing clients rather than simply supplying the ingredients.

At the same time, testing laboratories have multiplied to serve the growing need to ensure not just quality and safety, but also the validation of product claims.

The growth and development of in-cosmetics has reflected these market trends. The unrivalled event has now expanded and recently welcomed over 6,000 industry professionals from 100 countries visiting some 450 international exhibiting companies.

Each year in-cosmetics has built on its previous success by adding new features and attractions for the benefit of both visitors and exhibitors. It has become the must-attend event for any individual or organisation within the cosmetic and personal care ingredients community.
