The China International Hardware Show Powered by PRACTICAL WORLD, which will take place from 17th to 19th September 2008 in Shanghai, is further enhancing its position as Asia's top trade fair for hardware & DIY. This year, for the first time ever, more than 100,000 square metres of gross exhibition space will be occupied. In addition to eight joint stands of national associations and organizations, Germany, Italy and Taiwan are again setting up country pavilions. Moreover, Spain will be represented at the fair for the first time. Whoever wants to use the China International Hardware Show Powered by PRACTICAL WORLD as a gateway to the Asian market should register for the fair quickly — only a few remaining stand areas are still available.

Occupying more than 200 square metres, an official German presentation will be featured for the fifth time in Shanghai. This presentation is being organised within the framework of the foreign trade fair support programme of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology in cooperation with the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) and the Association of German Tool Manufacturers (FWI).

Exhibitors including Knipex, Sewota, Matador, MWT, and Grizzly Garden Tools will attend the fair. Compared to 2007, the Italian group participation will double its exhibition space this year. Through COFEARFE, Spain will also have its own pavilion for the first time. Even three group participations from Taiwan will be attending: the Taiwan Hand Tools Manufacturers Association (THMA), the Importers & Exporters Association of Taipei (IEAT), and for the first time the Taichung Importers and Exporters Chamber of Commerce (TIECC).

The following national groups will be represented: China Hardware Tool Export Base Jinhua, China Valve Capital Yuhuan, China Hardware Production Base Huanghua, China Wire Mesh Production Base Hebei Anping, China Lock City Wenzhou, Shanghai Building Hardware Association, China Hardware Production Base - Xiaolan Town, Guangdong, Coated Abrasive Makers' Sub- Association of China Machine Tool & Tool Builders' Association.
