| Fifth Annual Wired Nextfest Set To Open In Chicago On September 27 The fifth annual WIRED NextFest begins September 27 and runs through October 12, in Chicago's Millennium Park. WIRED NextFest is the premier showcase of global innovations that are transforming our world and include unique and bold exhibits of sustainable design, next generation healthcare, interactive art and games, humanoid robotics, and more. These 40 curated exhibits are the groundbreaking work of international visionaries who offer an inspiring glimpse of tomorrow. The event is free and open-to-the-public in Chicago's magnificent Millennium Park. "We're excited to present this year's NextFest as a high-concept global showcase with a fresh and modern approach, " said Chris Mitchell, VP and publisher of WIRED and Wired.com.
