| Canadian Waste & Recycling Expo 2008 Taking place November 5 and 6 at the International Centre, the Canadian Waste & Recycling Expo (CWRE) returns to Toronto this year, marking its eleventh anniversary as Canada's only trade show serving the waste, recycling and public works markets. Participants will encounter the latest products and services being offered by exhibitors representing all categories of the waste industry, from collection and hauling to processing and disposal. Well-known industry professionals will provide information on various types of waste and recycling products, services and programs. With its informative seminars and exciting special events, CWRE will provide an unparalleled opportunity for education, business development and networking. Sponsored by the supporting associations and presented by experts, industry leaders and government officials, the seminar program will include a selection of educational presentations. Topics include, but are not limited to, regulation updates, organics recovery, strategies for developing and implementing an effective environmental waste reduction program and environmental law. In addition to the seminars, three very significant organizations will host special events during the two-day Expo. On Wednesday, the SWANA Ontario Chapter Luncheon and Annual General Meeting will take place at noon, and later in the afternoon, the Ontario Waste Management Association (OWMA) will host a reception. MWIN's Annual Canadian Waste & Recycling Expo Luncheon will take place on Thursday. Preceding the commencement of the tradeshow, the Ontario Waste Management Association will be sponsoring two exciting tours.
