| The Cannes International Boat and Yacht Show ![]() The 2008 show is sailing toward a new success. Its unique and prestigious line-up is very appealing: 620 of the world's finest yachts will be displayed in water and a total of 250 world exclusives will be previewed at Cannes. The show's manager, Eric de Saintdo, spoke to us of his satisfaction: "Five months before it opens, the show is fully booked and there are 150 vessels on the waiting list. It is a wonderful recognition for the members of our fine team who put a lot of energy and ingenuity into making Cannes the favourite event of those who represent the pleasure boat and luxury yacht industries." Cannes occupies a dominant position in the world of international boat shows. Its fame today reaches well beyond the borders of Europe. The show is a catalyst for international economic and creative processes. 68% of its exhibitors come from abroad, representing more than thirty countries. "Europeans are still the most epresented group (Italy, United Kingdom, Spain, Germany and Monaco form the top five). But it is nice to see that the desire to come to Cannes is spreading to the United States, Russia, the United Arab Emirates and Asia. The "big names" in yachting come to Cannes to meet an upmarket international clientele. Our show is an exceptional business event; many shipyards are very pleased to fill their order books at the show for several years to come!". write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Exhibition News :: home page |
