Export Home On The Route Of Furniture Professionals

20 years after its first edition, Export Home is the bastion for publicising and promoting the Portuguese furniture, lighting, upholstery and household goods industry. The 21st edition of Export Home will take place between the 3rd and 7th of March 2009.

It fulfils its mission in each edition, shining a light on the quality of Portuguese industry. "A commitment we are sticking to, but that is only possible if we continue to guarantee the same standards to which the international markets have grown accustomed.

The time is one for joining forces, bearing in mind the main guiding principles steering the sector: the promotion of exports, supporting the international promotion of furniture and the organisation of critical mass activities for professionals who exhibit and visit the largest exhibition in the sector in Portugal", António Proença, director of EXPORT HOME, comments.

At a time when the Portuguese furniture sector is holding strong in the market, organising exhibitions where the potential of national products is publicised becomes even more important. To this end, our team is carrying out a range of activities designed to support its strategy for the international promotion of the sector, such as attending the main international exhibitions, strengthening the hosted buyers programme - with an increase in invitations for foreign buyers, who will receive a VIP welcome, already planned -, and a space devoted to the Contract channel, which will attract institutional or corporate clients, thus stimulating business potential for the sectors present at EXPORT HOME.

With an exclusively professional character, EXPORT HOME thus has a strong international component in its history. The visitor figures leave no room for doubt regarding the success of last year's international promotion activities: in total, out of almost 30 thousand visitors, over two thousand were from abroad, from 20 different countries, with neighbouring Spain leading the ranking with 1 729 visitors. Diverse markets, with diverse interests, but with one thing in common: the satisfaction of meeting their objectives.
