| Seguriexpo BISEC 2008  Seguriexpo BISEC 2008 will be held in La Rural Predio Ferial from August 13th to 15th. The integral security sector rose 15% in sales. National economic recovery and an increase in the demand for security products boosted investment by companies. The know-how provided by Argentine professionals positions the country as the largest exporter of knowledge on security solutions development, implementation and application to the rest of Latin America. Export highlights include parking software, staff control time clocks, sirens, turnstiles for access control and intrusion detection stations, among others.Local production of technology supplies is being encouraged, favored by low workforce cost conditions. However, imports still account for 75%, mainly in CCTV components and fire detection systems. Ongoing growth in domestic demand for security products fosters job creation. Entities demanding these products include companies, banks, municipal bodies and town halls in quest for technology to protect their activities and physical integrity. Within the sector, physical security delivered the highest turnover rate, followed by the monitoring and access control sector.
