| ISOT 2008: Exhibition Outline and Reports on 2008 Asia's stationery event, 19th International Stationery and Office Products Fair Tokyo (ISOT) along with 6th International Office Machines & Equipment Expo Tokyo (OFMEX) was organised by Reed Exhibitions Japan Ltd., ISOT special sponsored by All Japan Stationery Association, and OFMEX special sponsored by Nippon Office Machine Dealers Association. ISOT and OFMEX welcomed 572 exhibitors from 18 countries with 67,543 quality buyers around the world. This year too, there were various new and innovative products both in stationeries and office machines. Japanese stationery is known as its high-quality for long years, and now it is now known as its cutting-edge designs. One of ISOT's special exhibit areas, Design Stationery World, was very popular again this year for its unique and stylish products. Not only inside Design Stationery World, but also there were many new and innovative stationeries and office products from writing instruments, notebooks, files, office accessories, personal organisers, to printers, cutting machines, electronic products and many more all around the show hall that caught many buyers attentions. Show Management heard numbers of voices how participants were surprised of the visitor numbers that the show venue was always crowded and also the increase of overseas visitors. This is a result of a powerful visitor romotion effort made by Show Management. Starting from dispatching thousands of invitation tickets to quality buyers all across Japan and Asia, placing advertisements and preshow reports on both domestic and international medias, as well as directly visiting Japanese major and mall-medium size stationery shops, and also for the first time ever, Show Management visited Korea and Taiwan's biggest stationery retailers to talk directly with the buyers, how important ISOT/OFMEX is in the Asian industry. These promotional activities can be seen as a positive result in the growth of the visitor numbers and overall satisfaction of the exhibitors. Alongside with quality buyers, more than 900 media visited the shows to make a report on the latest trend of this industry and many exhibitors were welcoming the interviews to make more PR on their products. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Exhibition News :: home page |
