HD EXPO

HD EXPO heads to New York on September 25th, 2008 when it will bring its trademark community-building workshops, conferences and exhibitions to the eastern-US community of filmmakers and entertainment technologists. HD EXPO premiers in New York after consistent requests from filmmakers and businesses in the Eastern United States to present an education-centric and networking event in the New York area.

Beginning as a single, 400 person event in Los Angeles in 2001, HD EXPO has grown into an international company offering education and community to a global audience. In 2008, HD EXPO will attract 20,000 attendees over the course of its four shows and 50 workshop days. Since its launch seven years ago, HD EXPO has kept its viewfinder set firmly on keeping its community highly informed and well connected with high-value education and panels featuring the industry's top award winners.

Listening to input from the New York creative and technical communities as well as drawing upon its extensive experience, HD EXPO will present an exhibition area featuring industry-leading companies, a slate of educational intensives and workshops, high powered panels, and community-building networking. The event pulls into The Tunnel on September 25th.

CEO Kristin Petrovich noted, "We have had strong input from the community as well as from our exhibitors and sponsors to launch in New York. The eastern seaboard is jam-packed with amazing creative talent, innovative companies, major manufacturers, and an active group of users. This year, a number of key alliances and opportunities presented themselves and it became clear that the time is right to bring the unique flavor of HD EXPO to NYC. We are thrilled to have the support of our exhibitors and sponsors such as 1 Beyond, Atempo, Canon, AJA, Adobe, BandPro, B&H Studio, JVC, Panasonic, Schneider Optics, with more joining HD EXPO NY every day."

A number of key alliances have been announced for HD EXPO New York including American Cinema Editors, International Cinematographers Guild, Hollywood Post Alliance, and Society of Operating Cameramen, with more expected shortly. Media partnerships include Moviemaker Magazine, Digital Cinematography, POST, HD Video Pro and others.

HD EXPO has announced the panel, "The Art of Editing in the 21st Century: Creativity + Technology, " which will feature a group of renowned and honored editors including Michael Berenbaum, ACE, Tim Squyres, ACE, and others soon to be announced. "The Art of Editing" is sponsored by American Cinema Editors. Additional panels, speakers and events will be posted daily as well as updates and news from exhibitors. Educational Intensives, HD EXPO's free in-depth education sessions, are being presented by Adobe, Panasonic and BandPro.

HD EXPO is free to professional attendees with prior registration, which opens July 14th, 2008 and will take place at The Tunnel, NYC on Thursday, September 25th from 11:00am to 7:00pm.
