CPhI China Exhibition

Organisers CMPi expect year-on-year growth for June's CPhI China exhibition – with ICSE and P-MEC – which form the biggest annual networking and business opportunity for Asia's pharma ingredients and services community. Again hosted at Shanghai's New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), the three exhibitions take place from Tuesday 24 – Thursday 26 June. The events are staged across six halls and two tents, with nearly 1,400 combined exhibitors from 20 countries presenting to more than 19,000 expected attendees.

On the seventh anniversary of the first CPhI China, the events continue to grow – reflecting the massive expansion of China's role and recognised importance in serving the global pharma community.

Just three years ago total exhibitors numbered less than 800. P-MEC China only joined the family in 2006, yet for 2008 is taking over 7,000 sq. m. of space for nearly 250 exhibitors in the machinery and equipment segment.

P-MEC reflects a growing emphasis on production systems and technologies as the pharma ingredients production industry looks to meet and balance the many complex challenges in compliance, cost and environmental footprint.

Co-organiser of the exhibitions is CMPi's sister company in China CMP Sinoexpo, while the events enjoy the valuable support of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products (CCCMHPIE).

Capturing and managing the expanding opportunities to do business in China is a key theme in the second CPhI China International Forum, returning after its successful 2007 debut.

The Forum is again co-organised by CMPi and the China markets trading consultancy Pacific Genuity Inc. The twin tracks of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Excellence and Global Sourcing from China are complemented by c-GMP.
