Commercial Vehicles: On The Move For Everyone

Four months before the 62nd IAA Commercial Vehicles opens its doors in Hanover, it is already clear that the world's most important trade fair for mobility is going to set new records in its number of exhibitors, international range and the amount of exhibition space occupied. "So far over 1,700 exhibitors from 47 countries have registered to take part in this year's IAA. This means that we are already above the historic IAA record of two years ago, when 1,556 exhibitors took part, " emphasized Matthias Wissmann, President of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA).

This year's 265,000 sq m of exhibition space has also broken the existing record from 1992 (252,000 sq m). "This is a very welcome state of affairs – having so many registrations makes us very optimistic. In addition, the economic background for the IAA is also good. The order books are bulging, and exports and production are booming, " Wissmann underscored.

So this year the 62nd IAA Commercial Vehicles (25 Sept. to 2 Oct. 2008), which is organized by the VDA, will once again be the ideal platform for exhibitors and professional visitors to initiate business and conclude contracts. Matthias Wissmann stressed, "You won't find more innovations or vehicle presentations at any other trade fair."

Wissmann added that the 62nd IAA Commercial Vehicles would tackle the issues of sustainable mobility and transport efficiency in detail. The IAA's headline, "Commercial Vehicles: On the move for everyone" underlined the service-oriented nature of this key industry, which is essential to economic growth both in Germany and abroad. The new IAA poster depicts a heavy truck, a van and a bus outlined on a dynamic red background.
