| 19th World Petroleum Congress The Secretary General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Abdalla Salem El-Badri, and the Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA), Nobuo Tanaka, will present keynotes at the OPEC / IEA Luncheon, one of the highlights of the 19th World Petroleum Congress. The OPEC / IEA Luncheon, which takes place on the 2nd of July, is one of the most popular networking events of the Congress. The speakers will debate the important issues affecting the industry today, including oil prices, demand, supply and resources, as well as the future of a sector so crucial for our global economy. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Noe van Hulst, the newly appointed Secretary General to the International Energy Forum (IEF). During the 4 day Congress, held under the theme: A World in Transition: delivering Energy for Sustainable Growth, 540 speakers will participate in an extensive programme including seven plenary sessions, fifteen ministerial sessions, seven special sessions, four luncheons and numerous technical sessions.
